Notice is hereby given that the HACGS AGM shall be held in the Court Room at Armoury House on 14 Jan 2026. The Agenda is here. Currently we have 33 Members attending.

Insurance
A reminder that according to the HACGS Constitution:
“It shall be the duty of each member to ensure that he is insured against any claims for damages which he may legally have to pay for an accident which causes injury to body or health or physical damage to third party property, which occurs whilst he is representing HACGS or in any HACGS match, meeting or social event, including travelling to and from such engagements. By virtue of his membership of the Society, he shall be deemed to indemnify the Society, including all members thereof, the Regimental Sports Committee and the Honourable Artillery Company itself, against all liabilities any of them may incur as a result of such accident.”
Normally those who are Members of Golf Clubs will be covered for Third Party Liability, by affiliation under the Golf England Insurance Scheme.
AGM 2025 - 14 Jan 2026
The HAC Golfing Society will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 14th January 2026. This will take place in the Court Room at Armoury House and afterwards the Members will dine together in the Medal Room - "Enhanced Drill Supper” (Main Course, Pudding, Coffee & Mints).
The charge for the supper will be the same as last year £37.50 per head. To indicate your attendance or apologies and to book your supper, please complete the simple Google Form at: https://forms.gle/YJ1NHB53MyPMFPMW7 by Monday 15 December 2025. The agenda is here
Bower Cleek K/O Pairs Competition
As part of our golfing for HACGS players in 2026, we are launching the Bower Cleek Pairs Knock-Out Competition for this trophy. Entry is via the Google Form at: https://forms.gle/Ngn8oDYeFmW1G1Xa7 Please submit your entry by 7 January 2026 at the latest, as the draw for the 1st Round will be made live at the AGM on 14 January 2025. Captain's Tour, Estella GC Porto
What a brilliant time was had at the lovely Estella GC outside Porto. Glorious weather and marvellous company. Congratulations to Andrew Cadell on winning the Grahame Berkeley Trophy and commiserations to Chris Otterwell on winning the Victor Behrens Trophy. Thanks to the Captain and Stubbo for making thoroughly enjoyable arrangements for us all.

New AGM Date - 14 Jan 2026
The new date for our AGM is Wednesday 14 January 2026. As normal the AGM will be followed by a Drill Supper in the Medal Room. A formal invitation will be sent out in November.
